Reading books is not a thing of the past by any stretch of the imagination and no matter what the virtual world might say about, you can still find people carrying their favorite book as the go on a long journey and immerse themselves in its magic. This is not just a style statement, but something that keeps you engrossed and tells others of your tastes and choices without uttering a word. Designer Isabelle Vaverka, seems to be a true book lover, as she has designed a bookshelf and a cataloging pattern that makes your own private collection much more special and very personal.
Dubbed as ‘THE BOOK’, the design aspect of the bookshelf and the books inside it is relatively simple and entirely in black and white. This not just gives it an ultra-modern and sophisticated look, but it places importance on the black words on top of each book. On cover of the book are the memories and the emotions that the reader has attached with the book- no title, no pictures.
Looking at the project though it seems so similar to the DVD collection of FRIENDS, where each episode is simply mentioned with the title “The One in which…” Just makes the whole thing easy to remember, personal and a lot more fun!
