pope Catholicism Versus Condoms in Africa

Pope Benedict XVI, during his papal visit to the Africa, preached marital fidelity and abstinence as a way to fight HIV/ Aids. There are 22 million people infected with this life threatening disease in the sub Saharan Africa, according to the UN report in 2007.

The African population has 17 percent of baptized catholic, and thousands flocked to attend open air masses. The number has been steadily rising.

In Cameroon, the Pope said that the “tragedy cannot be overcome by money alone, that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which can even increase the problem” referring to the HIV/Aids. The solution according to him was in a “spiritual and human awakening”.

Pope has addressed other major issues like that of violence, poverty, hunger, corruption and abuse of power. Preaching of the abstinence from sexual desires and fidelity was rather an impractical solution for the rapid spread of the disease. The Pope is expected to talk to the young Africans about the reasons why abstinence is better than condoms.

Fidelity may to an extent control the spread of the disease. However, the question still remains that will the people in Africa actually be able to resist their sexual urges. And when they do become victims of these urges, which is only natural, distribution of condoms would be a better option than the impractical catholic preaching of abstinence.

When was Catholocism ever practical? Abstain from sex to stop HIV? What a joke! I think the Pope has his own evil plans to reduce human population, and it will be effective too, if people listen to him and stop using condoms.

Catholocism was created by men, just people with NO biblical backing, sure they mention “some” biblical facts, but you can knock down there entire Catholic system in a hurry, there is no biblical proof that using any birth control is wrong, the pope if you ask me is a joke, no where in the bible is there such a position, they just made it up and act like they follow God when in fact they just follow themselves, what if Jesus said too them “give all your riches too the poor and starving people in the world, or even half? would they do it? NO, you know why? because in the bible Jesus DID say too do that and they sit on there billions of dollars, while children in Africa and other places starve to death, what a shame they are, i know real churches that actually do help the poor and there not rich.
Nothings wrong with the human population, its just a lie and a genocidal plan set up too murder most of the people on earth, its more about where money is going, which is into the pockets of the corrupt like the pope and HIS church which isn’t even close too Gods church.
I feel sorry for any good hearted person that gives even a dime too these corrupt people.
