Everyone knows by now how even magazines and newspapers have moving pictures in the gaming world. That’s completely normal and nothing interesting for the wizards but these magic-only concepts seem to be spilling over to the Muggle world more and more often. Now, even in the real world, seeing moving pictures in the magazine isn’t something very new.

CBS will be launching the September issue of Time Inc.’s Entertainment Weekly with a video ad in the magazine. The ad, made in collaboration with PepsiCo, will feature previews of the 2009-2010 TV season which would include hugely popular shows like the nerdy world of Big Bang Theory, and more. Stars of the show would also be the ones guiding you on how to use the video player which would start automatically the moment the magazine is opened. The video ad is displayed through a paper thin interactive video player inserted in the magazine.

Pepsi would be sponsoring the fall season of the Monday night comedies on CBS and advertising their Pepsi Max diet cola through the magazine. Video ads have been gaining popularity and this has been attempted before. CBS is also known for its creative advertising methods, having tried dairy and meat products earlier.
