Cc:Betty is one of those few start ups that have not only proven to be extremely effective, but have quite an innovative name as well. This one of a kind service enables users to keep their communication and projects organized by managing the users’ e-mails. However, the company has now decided to change its name and give a complete overhaul to its services and with this in mind, Cc:Betty has now changed its named to Threadbox, stating that, although the name was a catchy one, the company needed something more professional sounding, as most of its clients are business professionals.
Thundrbox, essentially works like an e-mail secretary, wherein the service catalogs all your emails by creating a single view of all the interactions and then simply prioritizes the more the important mails and locations. Due to the fact that, the users of this services had to CC: their mails to the “betty@ccbetty.com” in order to make the service take care of the mails, the name CC: address of the service got stuck as the name of the service itself.
According to Michael Cerda (CEO, Threadbox),
“We’ve found our email integration/interaction to be very popular, given most of us manage our workflow from email. We’ve found some of our web interface experience to be clunky and some of it to be intuitive along the way. We’ve found our branding/packaging to work well for the casual, more personal use cases. But for the majority, the workplace oriented user, the branding/packaging while cute, needed to be tuned.”
The all new Threadbox is expected to be launched in spring this year and until the transition is complete, the company has launched a demo version of its revamped services to their most active users.
