CES 2009 is proving to be more of a marketplace than an exhibition for most companies and Asus is definitely stealing all the limelight. Now they have unveiled the prototype of a laptop, which comes with dual computing. The laptop comes blessed with a touchscreen which replaces the trackpad and it can also be used to boot the low power consuming machine.
Media, RSS, email and other such functions can be used via a secondary system and the notebook can be used in a regulated way. The second system is apparently a System-on-Chip and comes with its own processor and RAM and even graphics too. Now the interesting feature is, both the systems will use the same battery and thanks to the low power system, the laptop can be used for 12 hours continuously.
This makes it possible to have long hours of battery back up, also extended multimedia, and portable entertainment experience. However, there is no information about its release or its availability. We shall just have to wait and watch what happens next at the CES 2009, Las Vegas, Nevada.
