Netgear has kept a rather low profile at the CES 2009, only until now though. The company has demonstrated new streaming media devices and is a sign that people have started accepting Internet and TV can complement each other, rather than juxtapose each other’s disadvantages and advantages.

Netgear’s Digital Entertainer Elite EVA9150 is an awesome streaming media device, which comes with an impressive 500GB hard drive, and you could even opt for a higher capacity one. Elite can play videos on your TV and stream using the two USB ports. Elite can support 1080p HD content flawlessly. It supports most file extensions like AVI, WMV, Xvid, etc.

The Elite is expected to cost 399, which is rather steep. They have also announced their Internet TV Player called the ITV2000 with which Netgear has taken a bold step and allows you to watch YouTube on your TV without any problem. This would have a number of takers among international TV fans. This is expected to cost $199.
