CES2009 this time is certainly proving to be one of the best consumer exhibitions ever with so many great products being unveiled all at one single place. Samsung surprised us all by announcing what is being touted as the world’s slimmest HDTV and now, we hear they have unveiled pictures about the world’s slimmest Blu-ray player, which measures only 39mm.

The Blu-ray player definitely looks sleek and stylish but we do not know anything more about the player yet. Perhaps we shall have to wait until they reveal more at the CES 2009. CES 2009 might just be like a huge marketplace with a lot of commotion and rivalry between exhibitors. Samsung may have a tough time competing with LG and other bigwigs.

I would say, Samsung’s Blu-ray player is one of the world’s firsts and the world’s slimmest Blu-ray player announced until now. Thus, the company certainly deserves a standing ovation at least for that. Let us wait and watch what it is going to be like at the exhibition. Perhaps the specs and price related information would be revealed there.
