We recently read how LG is planning to release the world’s slimmest TV and we also read how Victor Company of Japan is planning on the same by launching a new technology. Now, ironically, even Samsung is planning to launch the world’s slimmest LED Backlight TV at the CES 2009. I have kind of begun to doubt if the ‘world’s slimmest’ is slightly flawed and they would all be competing against each other, measuring their TVs in full view of the consumers at the exhibition.
These HDTVs will only be 6.5m thick which definitely seems to be the slimmest to me. The TV would range 40″ to 55″ and would come with the famous Samsung Motion Plus Technology. Looks like this model of TVs would certainly be sleek, slim and packed with the latest technology.
However, with so many competitors in sight, it may be a little difficult for the consumer to decide the brand and the model, with each company trying to project it’s TV as the world’s slimmest./ The difference lies in the TVs being LCD, Backlit or even HDTV which most consumers would not grasp and go for the ‘world’s slimmest’ title.
