Schwinn Electric Bikes need no introduction but they also exhibited their cool bikes at the CES 2009. They were showing off their Tailwind bicycle, which comes with a new battery technology from Toshiba. It can be recharged in 30 minutes and the electric motor assists a peddler to peddle faster. If you switch off the battery, it works just like a normal cycle.
The Tailwind comes with a light aluminum frame and costs $3,200. It definitely is expensive for you would actually get a car for that price. However, if you are looking for an environmentally friendly option, you could always check out the bike and shell out $3,200.
Just go ahead and wear your spandex and start biking across the country with the tailwind. If the battery runs out, you can always ride back home. Sounds pretty cool to me, what do you think?
