CES 2009 also saw some green gadgets being featured and exhibited. The Solio Mono Solar Charger came as a pleasant surprise and reminded everyone about our duty to environment, which is the most important thing. Solio’s new Mono is similar to their earlier hybrid charger and works pretty much the same way.
All you would need to do is place it under the sun or connect it to power, it will charge nonetheless. You would get a set of adapter, which you could use to draw power from Solio to your device. This can be used as an emergency source of power. It can fully charge a cellphone or an mp3 player.
The little LED light makes it a little funky and costs $60. You can buy at REI. Looks like all the gadgets that are being unveiled at the CES isn’t a burden on the environment and some are truly green and friendly.

I’ve been using the solio for travel purposes and I must say I have never had a product which is as easy to use, effective and reliable as this charger. I can recommend it to everyone who wants to keep their small appliances charged wherever they are
