Here is how you could get the world’s smallest and wireless travel router: All you would need to do is drop in to the TRENDnet stall at the CES 2009 and pick up their TEW-654TR, which is a 300Mbps wireless N travel Router kit. It is small enough to be kept in the front pocket of your jeans, apparently.
The device is minimalist and comes with only an LED indicator, MIMI antenna and an Ethernet port. Of course, it also has an AC socket. The price is not mentioned but it definitely is going to be expensive considering the small size.
It is interesting how technology is changing so fast and we are all moving towards coin-sized gadgets that do not need any wires at all. I remember the days when we had the old tape recorder that had huge wires, which intimidated me. Sigh, those were the days.
