CES 2010: Intel Flaunts Glasses-Free 3D Demo

CES is always interesting. You can never get tired of watching those number of cool and fun gadgets, and CES 2010 seems to be a lot more interesting (at least, it is for me). 3D is making its good appearance at this year’s CES. Amongst them, Intel came up with a massive booth, which is set up for a comparison demo. The booth is divided into two sections. The top display is arranged to showcase glasses-free 3D and the bottom to demonstrate the traditional glasses-required 3D.

To make the visitors understand better about the usages of the cool 3Ds, there is a technician at the booth to explain anything about them. According to the technician the resolution was “sub-720p”. Besides, there are only eight specific places that you could actually stand at in order to get the full experience.

You could get the best view when you stand 10 feet away but right in the center. If you move closer, you could see the visuals differently. This immediately reminded me of the amazing movie of 2009, “Avatar”. 3D visuals always interested me since childhood and this one too did to a great extent.
