It is certainly not for regular users but for those who are terminally suspicious of losing data and those who might have a lot of things to protect. It comes in sizes of 64, 128 and 256 GBs which cost $499, $749 and $1249 respectively.

The idea is, they are normal SSDs but are protected in a heavy case of military grade steel that can withstand 5000lb crush force, 20ft drop and 1000g shock. It would be compatible with Linux, Mac and Windows. It is not really expensive, if you asked me and if files are so important why not safeguard them when we can, instead of crying later? It is quite a smart gadget indeed.
