The Consumer Electronics Show 2010 (CES) is finally over has left us with a lot to look forward in regards to the latest in innovative technology, gadgets, devices and electronic products. However, this year the CES was far dominated by an emerging technology, that has so far been able to show only a sneak peek of its immense capabilities is the 3D. This all new virtual reality technology has ushered in an all new era of unmatched entertainment and the applications for ti are endless. 3D has shown immense potential in the field of gaming and entertainment and with the CES 2010, this technology has received an immense boost as more and more companies and consumers alike are now looking forward as to where 3D might take us next. The exhibition at Las Vegas, gave us a wide variety of 3D digital products, such as 3D televisions, blu-ray players etc.

Recently, with the launch of an all new digital 3D satellite channel from DirecTV, the world of in house 3D entertainment is being taken to a place, where consumers will now able to view their favorite programs, movies etc, in full life size three dimensions. This all new satellite service will provide exceptional quality 3D programming and even though, users will be needed to have 3D supporting television, the concept in itself is awe inspiring.

Furthermore, one of the biggest names in audio video equipment, Panasonic had also unveiled its latest series of Plasma 3D televisions at the CES 2010, that is comprised of a new feature, called the Infinite Black Pro which gives more depth and clarity to the 3D picture. The Panasonic TC-PVT25 series also comes with state of the art 3D glasses. Although, the concept of 3D home entertainment is only evolving, yet Panasonic’s 3D HDTV series is bound to the take the technology to the next step.

Another marvelous innovation that became the highlight of the CES 2010, was the 3D Audio soundbar, that instantly became a revolution in 3D audio technology. The 3D Audio soundbar designed and developed by Cob and Sonic Emotion, provides astounding 3D sound when plugged into a stereo audio source, meaning that the device is capable of transforming the regular stereo audio output into high grade 3D surround sound, employing the eave field synthesis.
