However, in the field of mobile device technology, one name beat the rest and that is, Google Android, the mobile operating platform from Google, which has captured the imagination of just about every mobile device manufacturing company in the world. The CES 2010 witnessed a surge of products that were wholly based on the Google Android, including smartbooks, mobile phones and other devices as well.

On the top of the list of Google Android powered devices is the all new tablet cum phone from computer manufacturing giant, Dell Inc. The all new Dell Mini 5 is being seen as one of the most awesome devices that is almost ready to hit the market. The device sports a 5 inch touch screen, which Dell is planning to bump upto a cool 10 to 12 inches. With a Dell designed version of Google Android, a 5 megapixel camera and a slim slot that would provide phone features, the Dell Mini 5 is surely going to bring a revolution in the mobile device industry.

The second in line is the newest entry in the world of smart phones, Google’s Nexus One. This gorgeous looking stands at the 2nd position, despite of all the fanfare and hype that surrounded its launch, due to the fact that the Nexus One is nothing but a standard smart phone from HTC and is far less than the expectations of the consumer. However, the Nexus One does sport an impressive 3.7 inch screen, runs the latest version of Google Android (2.1) and above all, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, pumping out 1 GHz of speed, the fastest in the smart phone industry.

The third device in our list isn’t out yet, but is sure to make heads turn and aroused a lo of curiosity ever since its plans were unveiled at the CES 2010. The device in question is the proposed Smartbook that will be a joint venture between Qualcomm and Hewlett Packard. This all new smartbook will be powered by Google Android mobile OS and will have all the usual specs such as wifi and 3G connectivity, but with a Snapdragon processor, that is expected to increase the device’s battery life significantly.

When we talk about Google Android and mobile devices, tablet PCs can’t be far behind and such is the case for the all new tablet from Texas based Freescale Semiconductor. This all new will be running the Google Android OS with a 1GHZ i.MX515 processor. Furthermore, the tablet will also feature 4GB to 64GB of storage capacity, wifi, Bluetooth 2.1, 3G connectivity and will be embedded with vital social networking widgets.

LG recently announced its plans to introduce the all new Prada 3 smart phone. Now, we all know that the Prada series from LG was the first to bring in the ‘touch’ revolution and with the announcement for Prada 3, LG is planning to revive the series with the inculcation of the famed Google Android mobile platform and the company has invested much of its time on enhancing the device’s QWERTY keyboard and messaging capabilities.
