One of the leading names in professional electronic products, JVC, has now announced an all new alliance with Fullpower, a name that is widely known for its MotionX GPS Drive application for the iPhone, where in, Fullpower will now provide navigational capability to the all new JVC KW-AVX series of receivers, that are constituted of KW-AVX640, KW-AVX740 and KW-AVX840. As per the deal, all these receivers, once hooked to an iPhone, will be able to provide the drivers with accurate navigational data on their screens. The deal between JVC and Fullpower was announced at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show 2011 (CES 2011) in Las Vegas.
MotionX GPS Drive application was created exclusively for Apple iPhone and now with JVC in the loop, the iPhone will be supplying location awareness, via its Assisted GPS (A-GPS) receiver, while the KW-AVX receivers will be able to portray the entire map of the route on their 6.1- or 7-inch touch screens, while simultaneously providing turn by turn directions to the drivers via audio through the car speakers. Also, in an effort to fuse navigation with entertainment, KW-AVX receivers will enable the drivers to have complete access to their iTunes libraries on their iPhone. MotionX GPS Drive app is available for $0.99, but with a $19.99/year subscription, that would give the users turn by turn direction service.
The JVC KW-AVX640 comes with a price tag of $499, KW-AVX740 with Bluetooth feature for $549 and KW-AVX840 carries a price tag of $649, and all these JVC receivers will be available for purchase from the month of March this year.
