Here is good news for all of you out there who have been upset about OLED printing for being expensive and not functioning as fast as you want it to be. Well, some genius European developers and Finland’s VTT Technical Research Center who are concerned about your problem are slogging hard on a joint project that will produce a speedy and affordable OLED just for you.

To make it sound affordable, they have even used the word ‘Cheap’ rather boldly. These OLEDs will stimulate the speed of the whole printing system at a faster rate with the use of a regular roll to roll printing technology. The thickness of the OLEDs will be about three or four sheets of paper and you have the freedom to use them for any purpose. However, their purposes are rather business centric as they deal with product packaging and printing business cards. This technology also checks the freshness of wrapped food products available in supermarkets with the sensors it comes with. Lets just hope for the best and leave these genius to proceed on and you may be able to use this ‘Cheap’ OLED in a couple of years!
