Making calls on your cell phones via Wifi with the support of third party softwares such as Skype isn’t really shocking to most users and is a common practice in today’s ever evolving wireless communication services.
However, now a Belgian start up company known as ‘Cherry‘ is all poised to revolutionize the telecommunications segment. Cherry gives you the advantage of making phone calls from almost every smart phone even without the presence of a SIM card, that has been the backbone of mobile communications, as it established you as a subscriber of the telephonic services that you use. In Cherry’s case, it enables you to take advantage of the Wifi networks without even having to access your SIM card services.
Cherry is basically a MVNO or a Mobile Virtual Network Operator, where in it provides a pre-installed software that comes in the form of a package when u buy a smart phone. Once this software is activated, Cherry provides you with the freedom of making calls via both, your SIM card and over the Wifi as well.
Cherry has also introduced a nifty automated system, known as Handover, in which, the phone switches from one mode to the other automatically. You can dial the number of your contact and chat with him over Wifi and when u you get out of the range of the Wifi, Cheery instantly switches over to your cellular network provider. This process is lightening fast and the users won’t even know that the handover happened.
