Just set foot outside the house to realize that big cities, no longer behave more cars. And is not that the Chinese have created a solution, at least, unusual?
This is an absurdly large bus that passes over the cars. But nothing of running over cars. The concept here is a bus-shaped arch that uses the space above the cars for transit. The creators are the Huashi Future Parking Equipament in Shenzen.
In addition to using an empty space on the streets and avenues, the prototype uses solar panels and electricity to move. The bus can reach 60 mph, but travels at 40 km / h on average, reducing congestion on major routes by about 30%.
The vehicle has six meters wide and four meters tall, occupying two lanes and allowing cars to pass through up to two meters down. The length of the wagon was not disclosed.
Now, if you’re just amazed with these numbers, imagine how many people can be accommodated inside the bus. According to the Chinese, each car holds 300 people for a total of 1,200 per vehicle. Each bus would be able to save up to 860 tonnes of fuel per year, with a reduction of 2,640 tonnes of emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere.
The cost of deploying the bus is still more attractive because they use only 10% of what was spent for the construction of subways.
The approval of the project will be made even at the end of this month. If everything goes right, the Chinese claim that the initial deployment of 186 km is expected to happen until the end of the year.
