Chinese Hardware Creates Laptop Powered By Google Android Operating System

A Chinese computer hardware company, Lemote Technology is apparently trying to find new ans innovative means of deploying Google Android mobile operating system to its own line of mobile devices and as per sources, the company has is in the process of creating a laptop, that will be running Google Android and also be powered by Chinese built micro processors. This latest moves shows the growing interest in regards to the Android by the Godson chips lobbyists.

As of now, Lemote is offering a demo version of the Google Android to all the users of the YeeLoong8089 netbook, who can download this software and try it out on their machines. Next in line would be the production capable version of the Android system, that the company is hoping to releases for the same series of netbooks pretty soon. The origins of Lemote Technology can be traced back to the year 2006, when the company was conceived, with the help of funding from various investors, as well the state run Chinese Academy of Sciences, that has been credited with the design and development of the Godson chips.

As per the company, the current deteriorating relations between the Chinese government and Google, especially after the attempted cyber attacks on the search giant, is in no means going to be a hurdle for Lemote’s work on Google Android, as the entire operating system is open source. But the company has so far given no hints to the future of the Android, as to whether Lemote will introduce Android as a pre-loaded component for its new line of computers, or any other plans for the OS.
