ClimateGate scandal, intellectual protectionism, and scientific fraud

The ClimateGate scandal involves the unauthorized and surprising disclosure of private email conversations that transpired among climate change scientists. This top echelon in climate science is comprised of respected individuals in the field. They are a small group of climate experts, noted and noteworthy, that has been principally responsible for much of the global alarm regarding climate change. They are also official members of the roster of experts belonging to the central nerve of the climate change movement: the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

These modern scientists, it seems, have been proving global warming ‘by conspiring to manipulate the data in order to be right.’ From the released emails, it was revealed that ‘these scientists were manipulating data to make the “science” fit their beliefs. They weren’t focused solely on the real facts; they were interested in forwarding their climate change theories using any means necessary — including scientific trickery.’ These scientists have ‘staked out a position and decided to defend that position at all costs — even if it requires hiding or distorting data.’

The ‘ego-driven, profit-focused scientific community that would rather be right than enlightened’ has produced ‘a group of scientists who practice “intellectual protectionism” — meaning they know they’re right and they’ll do anything to protect their beliefs, even if it means hiding or manipulating data.’ Fact is the hacked emails show blatant climate change fraud.
