Coca Cola calls it the ‘future of the fountain’ and we call it a current delight that is not just uber-cool but is also highly precise and offers consumers with choices that they never hade before. The “Freestyle” is indeed a beverage dispenser and a coke fountain that can engage in some freestyle mixing of its own and can create tastes and flavors that you custom order at an instant. Unveiled back in April as the ‘Jet’, the internal mechanism of this complex and compact machine ensures that every possible available flavor of coke’s software drinks, water, soda and other energy drinks is available through its interactive touchscreen.

The “PurePour” technology employed by Freestyle was originally developed to measure extremely precise amounts of dialysis and cancer drugs and the RFID scanners are used to match cartridges to dispensers, and the onboard computer confirms everything is in place. The compact system not only pleases the consumer but sends data directly back to Coke headquarters in Atlanta giving it info about stats such as beverage consumption, peak times, and popular locations. Already out on a trial basis, it seems like the future of fountains in indeed here and it seems to be filled with lots of fizz…
