The MINI Beachcomber Concept is a four-seater concept car designed for maximum driving pleasure. It is a radically open body concept, and does without doors, a conventional roof and other body elements which might possibly limit the interface of passengers with the surroundings. It combines all-wheel drive with cutting-edge suspension technology, numerous body elements serving to make the car extra-strong and robust, as well as an elevated seating position.
The uniqueness of this concept car, is that during adverse weather, a soft roof, lightweight door and other elements can be fit into the body easily. This fourth version of Mini is somewhat an advanced one over Mini Moke from back in 60s. In effect, it projects the principle of Mini Moke into the 21st century, say its makers. It has a rustic appearance, necessitating minimum components in the interior. That is however, not to say it fails in any way on the comfort level of the driver and passengers. It is as safe and efficient. The concept car has extreme variability for all kinds of activities, weather and road conditions.
It is made of an extremely light and robust special fibre. The roof comes with transparent plastic inserts at the sides and at the rear serving as windows. One can’t wait to see this concept car become reality.
