Consumer Reports Survey Give A Black Eye To AT&T

The troubles for AT&T continue to brew with rivals slamming the wireless carrier’s network coverage with their advertisements and now, AT&T, which is one of the leading wireless network operators in the United States has been slammed by the Consumer Reports’ annual survey of mobile carrier customer satisfaction and has deemed AT&T as the worst service provider across America.

The survey conducted by Consumer Reports included 50,000 user opinions and at the end of it, AT&T found itself at the bottom of the pile and found itself coming last in just about every category and also ended at bottom of the results in 19 out of 26 states where the survey was taken, amounting to 73% loss of the total survey. On the other hand, AT&T’s arch rival Verizon attained the top spot throughout the survey creating a skeptical outlook for the services provided by AT&T.

Opinions are strongly swaying away from AT&T, especially in New York, where users have regularly complained about the carrier’s drop calls problem and the incredibly irresponsible service provided in the Bay Area region. If that’s not enough, the negative reactions generated in the survey from other states about AT&T’s services have showed that the service is fast losing popularity and the only reason for the users to stick with the service is that, AT&T has the exclusive contract for Apple iPhone, the most sought after smart phone in the United States.

In a statement by AT&T in regards to the Consumer Reports survey, the company said,

“We appreciate and value all customer feedback. We learn from it and it helps us serve our customers better. Without question the surest indication of customer satisfaction is churn, or turnover. For the last quarter, our postpaid churn was just 1.17 percent.”
