If you had been wanting get yourself great gaming glasses, I am sure you have thought about Vuzix glasses many times. This time around, they are launching the Wrap 920AV which is being touted as a personal video wear lineup. The glasses are extremely comfortable to wear and they act like conventional shades which means, you can wear them outside too, without looking like a nerd on the move.

Vuzix calls these glasses ‘Augmented Reality’ devices though this particular technology might take at least five years to be here. There also in another new model called the VR1440 but it is not listed on their website yet.

This model is an upgrade to VR920 and has display of 800×600 native resolution. It also comes with a PC resolution of 1600×1200. If only they combined 3D in to these glasses it would be awesome for flight simulation games. There is no information about either the availability or price. Nevertheless, gaming fans would love these glasses and shouldn’t miss a chance to get them.

It’s not an upgrade to the VR920, it’s a new product.

They don’t combine it with 3D, “stereoscopic” is the word you’re looking for, because they have a different product that does this.

The VR920 is a motion tracking, stereoscopic headset for gaming. It’s being replaced by the VR1440, this is aimed at the gaming market. The AV920 is aimed at an entirely different market.
