T-shirts with messages and images that describe the atrocities committed by the IDF against Palestinians during the Gaza offensive have become fashionable among Israeli soldiers.

A fabric-printing factory in southern Tel Aviv has been receiving an influx of orders from military customers who ask for t-shirts to be printed with slogans and pictures related to their offensive against the Palestinians. Dead babies, mothers weeping on their children’s graves, a gun aimed at a child, and bombed-out mosques are the favorite images that IDF soldiers order to be printed on their t-shirts.

“One shot, two kills” is the runaway favorite for printed message. It has become a common slogan that accompanies the designs.

This is a clear case of barbaric insensitivity by a group that has been heavily criticized over the past few days. Just recently, some IDF soldiers have come out into the open and admitted the murders, pillaging, and vandalism they committed during Operation ‘Cast Lead,’ the 22-day offensive in the Gaza Strip last December and January that killed 1,400 Palestinians and wounded many more, including innocent civilians, women, and children.

With those currently ‘fashionable’ t-shirts, the IDF simply wears their victory on their backs, no matter how much in bad taste it is.
