David Recordon is a name that many bloggers are aware of, especially those who tend to take a keen interest in new technology being made for the web. After his stint at Six Apart (6A), David is ready to move on yet again and this time he will be joining the team of Facebook.
David Recordon had been working as the Director of Corporate Development at the software company, Six Apart, for only a couple years and has now announced that he would be leaving to join Facebook. Recordon revealed on his blog that he would be starting as the Senior Open Programs Manager this coming week. Recordon had been involved with the development of OpenID, an open standard user authentication protocol, with Brad Fitzpatrick back in 2005 while he was working at Six Apart. Apart from that, Recordon is also known for being on the team which created OAuth, another open protocol.
Although Recordon shies away from revealing too much before he officially starts work next week, he admits that he would continue to work on open source and standards on Facebook as well.
