David Stine is one designer that is known for his dedication and his innovative creations. He never holds back himself in marvelling us with his truly artistic creations or compromises on the quality. For an instance, the pine cant bench shown in the above picture is one of his creations. It may appear as a log of wood roughly cut into a cuboid form, but the effort put in it would never go unnoticed.
The artist doesn’t want to compromise on any aspect, so he gets lumber from his very own family’s forests in Illinois. He derives inspiration from wood itself and leaves that crude yet stylish touch to his creations (as you can see in the pictures).
Because he carves each and every piece of furniture, there are not hundreds of them, but you can get one for yourself custom made by placing an order in advance. Traditional methods are employed to sculpt these wood works and thus the result is strikingly brilliant.
David Stine has a huge celebrity clientele, who can vouch for the beauty in his creations. Some of them are Andrew Sullivan, Chris Eigeman, Hugh Newel Jacobsen and the list goes on.
