Dell Inc. has announced the details of its latest addition to the XPS notebook series. The all new Dell Adamo XPS notebook is expected to be available commercially during the holiday season and Dell will begin accepting orders around the same time. The all new ultra thin notebook comes with a price tag of $1,799.
The Dell Adamo XPS is quite on the works of the recently launched Sony Vaio X with a maximum of weight of just 3.2 pounds and measures 13 inches in thickness, as against 11 inches Sony Vaio X and also comes with a solid stated drive (SSD). The Adamo is powered by a 1.4 GHz Intel ULV processor and comes with 2GB of RAM. The RAM provided with the Adamo although sounds good, but it might not be enough for the users, as the notebook comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows Vista Premium Edition, a rather heavy operating system, as compared to the much lighter Windows 7. The storage capacity of Dell Adamo XPS is quite satisfactory, as the notebook is installed with a 128 GB sold state drive.
Dell Adamo XPS provides crystal clear graphics with a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and has a 13.4 inch LED screen. The notebook is embedded with three USB 2.0 ports, mini-FireWire0 and a SD card reader, along with Bluetooth, Wifi and Ethernet providing users with varied levels of connectivity.
