Dell Pulls Back Production Of Mini 12 Netbook

There is a wide range of netbooks available on the market which offers consumers different features and designers. One of the things which people often look out for is the size of the screen. It seems really quite basic and a couple of sizes in a netbook really shouldn’t make a big difference but the strange truth is that it does.

Dell has recently announced that the company would be discontinuing production of the Inspiron Mini 12 netbook and a lot of people are damn near furious about this, not to mention slightly suspicious about the reasons for this. Although Dell has revealed that the reason for the discontinuation is due to the higher horsepower required by netbooks with the increase in size, the announcement has left people saddened at the loss of one of the few netbooks on the market which offered a 12 inch screen.

The Dell Mini 12 had also been quite costs effective, selling at about $430, and ran Windows XP on an Intel CPU. On the other hand, you can still choose to get yourself the Mini 10 and Mini 10v which are still around, for the moment.
