We’ve heard a thousand times about dogs being faithful to their masters. And longing to be walked by them. Kody, a three year old Jack Russell has gone many steps ahead! He draws his wheel-chaired master Alan Smith with a string attached to the wheelchair and walks him through the roads of Clifton in Nottingham. Everyday.

Alan Smith, now 57, had polio as a baby. He and his wife Donna who is 49 now, brought Koday for companionship. Today the loyal pet is more than a carer for this couple. Kody who walks Alan Smith for half an hour every day giving Donna that much needed break, is very traffic conscious too, and can fetch Alan little items such as clothing, shoes and socks.

The dog has his whims though. He is brand conscious. He will not have any dog food other than Hero, a supermarket brand. The other irritant for this otherwise cool headed dog, is cats. Or even another dog. Should he find them on his walks, he will stop his walk and squat on the spot.
The three year old Jack Russell is capable of giving his master quite a bumpy ride through the rickety pavements of Clifton.
