Yummm…now that shouldn’t be the typical first reaction when one spots a pair of earbuds. But you will know what we are talking about once you see the M&M Earbuds released by iPod accessory maker Maxell. Believe us when we say, these earbuds look like kid’s candy and have been packaged so that the taste buds will be drooling overtime.
We fear some dumb kids and adults (why leave those with a sweet tooth) would definitely try to eat them, more so because the M&M Earbuds are available in various spunky colors like red, pink, blue, orange and white just as a candy does!
The packaging has a little inscription saying ‘Sweet Sounds’, which is definitely an attempt to classify the product as associated with music and not the dewy sweetness we love to melt in our mouths. Then there is another warning ‘Not candy’, which we fear will have little effect on the buyer who might have just picked up the packet from the aisle wondering what in the world is this doing in an electronic store! So, if you want to add a little sweetness to your geeky life, grab a pair of M&Ms for just $10.
