Each year we celebrate the Earth Day with plenty of enthusiasm and lots of fervor and then forget all about it the next day by going around throwing plastic bags on beaches and buying a Hummer to spew more carbon into the already saturated atmosphere. But that is barely the point of Earth Day; it is not about associating yourself with a movement, but making your life a part of the green revolution.
While cynics will question its true value, let us not give them a chance to do the same this year by actually bringing home some green products that will make rest of the year eco-friendly as well. What better place to look at then CES 2009, with its latest offerings that look both cool and spread cool!
Sony’s Flexible OLED Display:

Sony stole the show hands down this CES 2009 with its ultra-futuristic and eco-friendly flexible OLED display. The civilian versions charge AA batteries, come with USB ports, weigh around 5 ounces and will cost you just $80 for a 4 AA battery charger. The military version though covers 10 foot square and will cost just $2000… Which is pretty cheap in military lingo!

You can also use it for computers, mobiles and other gadgets that sport a USB port making it simple and easy to operate.
Samsung OLED Display:

The flexible OLED screen unveiled by Samsung and OLED Association, might not be as cool as the one Sony managed to dish out, but this is another step towards future displays that could consume near-zero energy. Designed for mobiles, this will increase the life of your Li-Ion battery and while a production version is some way away, let’s just hope it is sooner than later.
Solio Mono Solar Charger:

Yup, we finish off our Earth Day celebrations with some more solar power as quite frankly; little can get so green and eco-friendly!
