Eco-Friendly Energy Production From Natural Gas

The researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are currently in the process of figuring out the feasibility of an all new energy power plant, that would be able to generate environment friendly energy from natural gas. The MIT proposed revolutionary power plant is expected to cost even less than a conventional natural-gas or coal plant and will release zero carbon emissions.

The all new revolutionary process is the brain child of postdoctoral associate Thomas Adams and the Professor of Chemical Engineering, Paul I. Barton who have devised an all new process that would in theory uses solid-oxide fuel cells to produce power from the natural fuels, without under going the process of burning the fossil fuels. The new process for which no new technology is required, will have zero carbon emissions and the only by product pf the process would be pure carbon dioxide.

The U.S is one of the biggest users of natural resources and about 22% of the all U.S. electricity production is generated by burning of natural gas. Among other nations, China and India are also the biggest contributors to carbon emissions to the environment. For this ans many such reasons, a new process of generating power without the carbon emission and that too at competitive prices is perhaps the best option available for the preservation of our environment.
