The Cornucopia is the most bizarre and the most unconventional electronic gadget I have ever come across so far. This 3-D printer concept is a personal food factory, which can literally fuse the digital world with the realm of cooking by storing, precisely mixing, depositing, and also cooking layers of ingredients and leaving no waste at all. This cool food printer is designed by Marcelo Coelho and Amit Zoran, the two geniuses at the MIT.

You can literally explore your culinary adventures by just mixing and printing different types of foods anytime you wish to. Cooking in Cornucopia is absolutely easy. All you have to do is to put the ingredients of the food that you want to cook into the food canisters. You can watch the progress of your food being cooked using the multi-touch translucent screen. It also gives the calorie and carbohydrate counts.

Interestingly, each ingredient is piled into a mixer and then extruded precisely. As soon as each of the food ingredients is dropped, either Cornucopia’s chamber or the heating and cooling tubes, which are located on the head of the printer either heat or cool the food. This is so cool. I never could imagine in the wildest of my dreams that something like this would ever be made to make cooking so easy.
