Doubling up to be able to deliver in more than just one way is the modern mantra when it comes to designing a product… or so it seems with so many designers going out of their way to try and create a cool little item that does a lot more than it is intended to. This can of course, once in a while, throw up some pretty audacious and down right crazy designs and the Flip-Flop Aperitivi is just the kind of thing that would allow you to talk a stroll on the borderline of wackiness. While most Havaianas might pretty much automatically double up as drink stands as they are flat, this one goes the extra yard (or rather the extra hole) to allow for a stable stand.

Designed by Tommaso Colia, this casual footwear allows you to not just sip into a cold drink with ease, but is also eco-friendly with their sole being woven from reeds. To be very honest these are nothing but comfortable flats with a small hole at the back and if walking on the white sands the whole day with the Aperitivi on and then using them as drink stands does not repel you are appeals to your sense of hygiene, then these just might be the thing for you… If and when they hit the stores that is!
