Frederik Roijé is a designer par excellence. You would not run into a designer who believes in the product’s character more than the functionality every day. The guy thinks it is a rather sad state these days when we look at the functionality of an object and thus let make objects disappear in a retrospective manner.

He has designed a product with that in mind and thus, keeping the product their value and also provide them additional value. The series is called Squares and consists of rocking chairs, chairs, seaters and an actual size rocking horse. The products are available in black and white and are more elegant than words can actually describe.

They all come in limited pieces of around 200 and I must say it is an awesome way to do your interiors. Dutch architect/designer Gerrit Thomas Rietveld’s Berlin Chair and other products had similar designs and themes and thus, this guy’s designs are a throwback to the days of modernism. The Square series are so cool that one won’t be able to stop staring at them even after hours.
