Most people don’t bother about how long the carton of milk has been sitting inside their fridge but this can be dangerous for the longer it sits open, the more it would give time for microscopic germs to multiply in the milk.

Milk starts to sour and turn bad the moment it leaves the protection of the compressed containers and is exposed to air. A carton of milk could just as well last one week for a person but by that time it would have gone bad so a lot of it would be going to waste. This concept jug has an innovative design intended to keep the milk fresh for as long as a wee. Titled Fresh, the jug is a spring type container which, after being filled, would have to be compressed to pour the milk out. Thus, the jug would keep getting shorter depending upon the content of milk.

Fresh is one of the entries in the James Dyson Award competition which invites concept designs from budding inventors the world over. The award would be given based upon a panel of judges as well as viewer’s choice. Fresh is an entry from USA.
