Many people are under the impression that if they don’t take break they could be more productive, effective and efficient. But unfortunately they are wrong. Whether you work on road, at office or from home without taking break the heavy work load force you to take a break to regain energy. For this problem there is a solution called HUSH which is in womb shape designed by Freyja Sewell.
This is an enclosed space that transforms into a conventional open seating. Workers who are deprived of space could escape into the dark womb. The single unit is the inspiration of womb which can be set anywhere to have a nap. The fancy, portable and round shaped wool pod gives protection for short period hibernation. When you want to connect to the outer crowd you can have the pod transformed into comfortable chair. This functions as a personal retreat to give natural quiet space.
The womb shape may evoke different emotions for different people. Some of them may adore the chair for its comforts which make them imagine that mother soothing womb brings calmness for stressed mind. The designer states that the practicality of the sleeper as the rent and property’s prices are very high, people are forced to share living spaces. So this chair brings harmony and tranquility in the chaotic daily life. It will act as a shield to the constant assault of messages, e-mails, calls of cell phone and texts on computer. It gives protection from never ending stimulation of the social media. The Womb chair is made of 100% wool felt which was selected for Grand Design Live.
