Frieda Pinto: Does She Live Up to Her Name?

Frieda Pinto has been heralded as one of the most beautiful women in the world by many. However, there are also many who would disagree. The lady looks quite ordinary and has very little to do with the word ‘acting’. Her dusky charms are good enough for the slums of Bombay, and her acting skills are great for a local drama company.
The unprecedented attention showered on her has made her name famous all over the world. Her name Pinto may also remind those who speak Portuguese of the word “Chupador de Pinto”. Well, she wouldn’t be great at that either. In fact, there would be better people who would want to take her place.
So, this Pinto actually does not deserve “Pintos” so to speak. Many people who have been admirers of human beauty would be disappointed with the attention showered on this plain Jane who has a rather unlikely surname as well.
These would be better claimants for the above title though.

Agree. She’s hardly acted in Slumdog, so I find it hard to justify her being nominated for “Breakthrough Performance award”, and is above average looking. But certainly does not fulfill criteria for being “one of the most beautiful women”. Lucky, very lucky.

Frieda is the ugliest chick I have ever seen. I pity the guy who would date her. She looks trashier than the trashcan outside a slumdog’s house. Whoever finds her pretty must be living under the stinkiest of rocks possible.

Some people like Frieda get lucky because entertainment industry loves to make celebrities out of underdogs and slumdogs. Industry and media weaves a fairy tale success story and push undeserving Friedas in to limelight and cash in both on publicity and anti-publicity. Comeon guys u are playing their games by such anti-posts! Ignore her. Put more posts about JD and other really good looking deserving people and give them publicity they deserve!!
