Over the period, we’ve seen other energy efficient bulbs taking over the conventional CFLs. There is yet another design to compete with them. Frog Design’s has introduced a concept LED light bulb to offer more sustainable lighting.

Built with LED inside a glass fixture that resembles the usual CFL, this bulb consumes less power compared to the latter. It transfers the heat generated by the LED to its aluminum base prolonging its life for not less than 30 years. Due to their conventional design, these bulbs can fit easily into any light socket. This non-toxic, mercury-less bulb wouldn’t do any harm even when broken accidentally.

This environmentally responsible concept will be available for purchase soon. Whether the purchasers would cheer this effort by Frog Design or reject it is for us to wait and watch.
