The much awaited and fascinating advanced technology project; VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) started way back in the mid 1980′s by Boeing engineers in Arlington Washington is augmented by John, a talented engineer. His futuristic design concept is named as “Fuzo”, which is a vehicle concept powered by four turbines that enable high-speed horizontal flight and easy landing. It can reach up to the speed of 400 mph and cruise at approximately 350 mph.

The most amazing feature of Fuzo is, its turbines switch into wheels once on the ground enabling it to perform like any other normal cars. It can accommodate three passengers including the driver. Fuzo is made with light materials such as, carbon fiber, kevlar and carbon nano-tubes. A fly-by-wire system (computers using Global Positioning System) is installed for safety reasons. In case of an accident, the vehicle automatically releases a parachute and airbags both internally and externally that will cushion the impact of the crash.
It has two joysticks placed on each armrest driver’s seat. One is used for controlling thrust and the other steering. The left joystick allows the car to spin on its axis while the right takes control of tilt and direction. There are two foot pedals used for controlling power and brakes. Considering the copious traffic congestion on the roads, it’s definitely a cool idea to welcome a concept like Fuzo.
