Soft drink giant, Coca Cola signed in the Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir as the new brand ambassador of Coca Cola. This summer we will witness this left-handed batsman known for his blazing batting style in the new advertisement campaign which is to roll out this week.

After the success of ‘Coca Cola Open Happiness’ campaign in the US, India is one of the first few strategic market to roll out this campaign. This campaign is also an effort of the brand to use it as a platform to integrate all the marketing initiatives globally.

Gautam Gambhir, the opening batsman for IPL team Delhi Daredevils, said that he closely identified with the qualities like refreshment and happiness and moments of joy of Coca Cola. Gambhir has been chosen as the first in the series of brand ambassador this summer to leverage the passion of cricket amongst the youth of the nation.

Along with the communication initiative, in-store and on-the-ground activities will be carried out in all the key markets as well. This promotional campaign will surely be a success in the Indian subcontinent. The refreshment and the happiness factors highlighted in the coke campaign will be well received in the heat of Indian summer.
