
Here is good news for gadgets freaks! GD-Itronix, the General Dynamics’ sub-brand has released the 13.3-inch GD8000, its latest ultra rugged notebook PC. The PC comes with various features.
Apparently, this Intel Core 2 Duo processor-powered PC has exceeded the US military’s MIL-STD 810F specifications for rugged design. Besides, the PC comes with an inbuilt die-cast magnesium chassis, which will enable to withstand hazards, such as dust and temperature extremes. Although, the PC may look small, it is rather cumbersome to carry. It has Intel’s integrated 4500MHD with 1GB of shared video memory handles graphics. Wireless is relatively broad with 802.11n Wi-Fi networking as well as Bluetooth 2.0 for peripherals and an integrated GPS sensor for mapping. Its resolution screen is rather fascinating as it can be viewed even in daylight. The keyboard can also be lit up for extra light.
Besides, the PC also comes with a finger print reader along with a smart card reader. The battery can run for five hours once fully charged. The DVD burner can be swapped out for a second, 3,800mAH battery. It is available now at a starting price of $3,800.
