When the show Cops hit the television screens, it became an instant hit with the audience for the simple reason that this show couldn’t possibly be doctored in any way. After all, what could be more real that checking out the video recordings from the police cruisers of different cities?

The show also started the slightly strange desire amongst youngsters who all suddenly wanted to have a cam in their car. Tim Cox wanted a dash cam as well but he came up with something a bit more different than what the cops were used to; he turned his iPhone into a dash cam. Tim cut a hole in the iPhone holder mounted on his windshield so that the view could be recorded via the camera on his iPhone.

Not such a bad idea, and quite an easy solution to anyone else out there who wished to do the same. All Tom has to do now is to slip his iPhone into the holder and set it for recording and he’ll have his own car chase recording. Any other ideas?
