The season to be jolly is just around the corner and most everyone is getting ready to consume an indecent amount of alcohol in the shortest time possible. This is the time of the year when men become boys again and ladies become naughty girls (who just wanna have fun?). In the midst of all this, the possibility of getting drunk is more than just high.
Most of us would turn towards a friend who can keep an eye out for how much we are drinking and who would stop us from over-drinking but that trick doesn’t work when the friend is drunk as well. UK’s Department of Health has come up with an alcohol tracker that can be downloaded to your phone so that you can tell just how much alcohol is going into your system this festive season. The alcohol tracker can be downloaded for free from NHS Choices for Windows phones or from iTunes and users only require internet access to use the tracker.
The tracker is part of the Know Your Limits campaign and is being backed by Drinkaware charity. Users are required to enter the number of drinks they have every day and the tracker would then give advice upon how much the user needs to cut down over a period of time. Wonder what happens when you’re too drunk to enter the right number of drinks!
