Once upon a time, in an old abandoned farm house, lived a psychotic man who thought it wondrously amusing and erotic to catch young young girls and boys unawares and take them off to live and play with as giant dolls in his doll house.
People would tell you this story is just a rumour, a scary story told to keep youngsters at home during the witching hour but anyone who visits highway 2 near Sinclair, Manitoba, Canada, would know that it is true. The kidnapper is dead, his victims are long gone but the rotting house still remains as proof one the man’s madness. One wall of the haunted house has fallen off, revealing the doll house like decor of the building within and one look at its candy coloured walls would be enough to convince anyone that evil still lurks within the house.
Those who pass it off as a salacious rumour would tell you the house was just an old farmhouse that was remodelled by Saskatchewan artist Heather Benning who wished to show the passage of time from the early 70s when it was emptied to today. But then, Heather has probably never spent a night at the life size dollhouse and heard the cries of its victims and the laughter of their puppeteer..
