While most bloggers and content developers would be familiar with the Glam Media name, they would not perhaps know that Glam Media has been responsible for the change in the world of web publication. With two successful sites, glam.com and brash.com, Glam Media is now diversifying into mobile ad publishing as well. The project is called GlamMobile and would be available in Japan first and late in Europe and elsewhere.
The new mobile ad publishing and content platform might allow writers and bloggers to reach out to a different kind of audience, the one that uses mobile phones exclusively. It is quite surprising actually as a very high percentage of Internet users are those who browse from their mobile phones.
This, Glam Media has taken the right step in venturing into mobile platform as well. It took them quite some time to reach the mobile arena though and I must say slower the better, as the company is going strong the way they are going. One will have to wait and watch to see if other publishing companies would follow suit and diversify into mobile platforms as well.
