Soon after Microsoft announced a search deal with Twitter and Facebook for the Bing search engine, Google today announced that, the search industry behemoth has also struck a deal with Twitter, to provide the users with real time search results for all the tweets taking place at Twitter. The financial aspects of the deal, if any, haven’t been disclosed yet, but unlike Microsoft, Google hasn’t hinted to a completely cash free deal between itself and Twitter.

Google’s Marissa Mayer announced the Google Twitter deal along with an all new service that is expected to be launched in the coming days, called Social Search. This new feature will enable users to search and locate feeds, blogs and tweets posted by their friends and family and will also include the content posted by the people who follow them.

According to Ms. Mayer,

“We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months. That way, the next time you search for something that can be aided by a real-time observation, say, snow conditions at your favorite ski resort, you’ll find tweets from other users who are there and sharing the latest and greatest information. Where there are tweets about the topic and the news articles haven’t been written yet, we’d really like to showcase the tweets.”

The lull that was in place for the battle between Google and Microsoft, it seems has now been broken and we can ready for some new nifty and highly useful features and services from both companies, thereby, giving the users a whole lot of stuff to work with.
