Google presented a new functionality in its engine search. Now it is possible to read PDF files resulting of searches starting from a fast link (Quick View) visualization, directly in the page.
According to the site Mashable, the innovation of Google, that was already available in applications as Gmail and Google Docs, allows results of researches to return PDF to also be read online, eliminating the need of installation of applications with this purpose.
The solution is a mixture of softwares created by companies as Scribd and Docstoc and incorporate a built-in reading program in the own search engine.
In agreement with the official definition of the Adobe, creator of the already traditional and old format, PDF (Portable Document Format) was developed to guarantee the data transmission so that the formatting and presentation of the information don’t suffer alterations, independent of the platform used in the moment of the reading.
Files in PDF are used broadly for the change of documents in that the edition of the content is not imperative, but the maintenance of the formatting yes.
But they need a special (though free) software for reading. They exist several of them, among them it Adobe Reader, official software from Adobe and known by being very complete, but onerous to the system, and Foxit Reader, a lighter solution.
